About Zakaria

I’m Zakaria Es.smaily, a professional kitesurfer and IKO-certified instructor from Essaouira, Morocco — a wind town on the Atlantic. I grew up there, and I’ve been kitesurfing since 2019.

For me, kitesurfing is more than a sport. It’s the wind, the ocean, travel, and the people you meet along the way. I want you to feel the same freedom it gave me. That’s why I built Smaily Surf Vibes.

I teach three things, and every hour is private. Beginners go from the beach through five levels until they ride on their own, then leave with a certificate. Riders who already ride work on big air — jumps, rolls, and loops — or strapless wave riding. We stay on one skill until it is yours.

I coach beside you, in the water, not from the beach. No group, and no waiting your turn. You leave with pictures or video, so you can see what to change. I teach in English, French, and Arabic.

This season I’m based at My Hoa Lagoon in Phan Rang, from mid-November to March. You book with me, so you are my client. Your room, breakfast, airport transfer, and kitesurf insurance are already set with Phi Kite School.

When I’m not teaching, I’m still chasing wind and waves, exploring new spots, and working on my own riding.

Chase the wind. Ride the waves. Share the experience.

Why Phan Rang?

Come for the wind. Stay for the vibe. Progress every day.

Phan Rang is one of Vietnam’s most exciting kitesurfing destinations — a place where strong wind, warm water, flat lagoons, waves and an amazing international kite community come together.

From November to April, the famous wind season creates excellent conditions for riding and progression. At My Hoa Lagoon, you’ll find shallow, protected flat water that’s perfect for learning, building confidence and improving your technique. Beyond the lagoon, waves and stronger conditions give experienced riders space to push their limits.

But Phan Rang is more than the conditions.

It’s the energy. Wake up, check the wind, get on the water, train with other riders, share a session, watch the sunset and do it all again the next day. The atmosphere is relaxed, social and highly motivating — with people from all over the world coming together because they simply love being on the water.

Whether you’re taking your first steps in kitesurfing, working on your first jumps, or chasing bigger tricks and cleaner riding, Phan Rang gives you the conditions, motivation and community to keep progressing.

Good wind. Good people. Good vibes. Better riding.

Questions before you book

Book with me on WhatsApp. You pay by card or bank transfer when you arrive at the spot.

How do I book?

Message me on WhatsApp. Tell me your level and the dates you want. I reply with the plan. Lessons, coaching, and the Vietnam trip all start the same way.

How do I pay?

Card or bank transfer. You pay when you arrive at the spot, not before you travel.

Do I need to know how to swim?

Yes. You should be comfortable in water that is deeper than you are tall. You do not need to be a fast swimmer. You do need to stay calm when you fall.

What if there is no wind?

We move the lesson. Kiting needs usable wind, so if the day is too light or too strong to teach safely, we reschedule. You keep the hour.

How many days to ride on my own?

The 10-hour beginner package is the one I recommend. It is enough time to show a clear progression, from first kite handling toward riding on your own. Some riders need a little more. We do not skip a level just to finish a package.

Is gear included?

Yes. Every lesson includes a kite, bar, board, harness, impact vest, water shoes, swimwear, and a radio. I am in the water with you. Bring sunscreen, a towel, and a positive attitude.

What ages do you teach?

Private lessons work best for teens and adults who can swim and follow safety instructions on the beach. If you want to book for a younger rider, send me their age first and I will tell you honestly if it is a good fit.
